CookiesWhat is stored in your browser

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. That is why you were not asked to accept any — there was nothing to accept.

No cookies, and no banner

The public pages of aftermathltd.com set no cookies of any kind — not necessary ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to, and we would rather publish that plainly than interrupt you to say it.

No third-party requests either

Cookies are only half of the question. The other half is who else your browser talks to while it draws the page, and on this site the answer is nobody: the typefaces are served from this domain, the stylesheet is served from this domain, the icons are drawn in the page itself, and there is no analytics script, no font service, no map embed, no video embed and no social widget. Nothing here quietly hands your address to a third party.

What is stored instead

One item, in your browser’s local storage, put there only if you use the theme switch in the header:

  • am-theme — holds the word light or dark, so the site opens in the theme you chose.

It is not a cookie: it is never attached to a request and never reaches our server. It contains no identifier and it cannot be used to recognise you. If you never touch the theme switch, nothing is stored at all and the site simply follows whatever your operating system says it prefers.

Removing it

Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes it. Doing so has no effect beyond the site forgetting which theme you picked.

The management system

The private system at /os is a separate application behind a sign-in, used by people who work here. It sets a strictly necessary session cookie so that a signed-in session works at all. It is not part of the public site, it is not reachable without credentials, and nothing on the public site sets it.

If this changes

If we ever add something that sets a cookie, this page says so before it ships, and anything that is not strictly necessary will ask you first.
